The TopLeaf XML publishing system is used to format and generate the PDF document output for the following helicopter document set:
Flight Manual
Flight Crew Checklist
Cockpit/Cabin User Guide
These documents form a part of the localised Aircrew Information Set. The manufacturer uses TopLeaf workstation to create & maintain TopLeaf stylesheets. PDF output is created using the TopLeaf workstation and/or TopLeaf API running on a Windows platform. The source XML content conforms to the 1000D version 1.81 DTD. The formatted output conforms to the print PDF business and styling requirements for government publications.
The advantages for the manufacturer have been:
- Automatic generation of list of effective pages (formerly a manual process)
- Automatic identification of pages changed in each document revision
- Automatic assembly of PDF using the current document page set.
